| Thanks Hob, I havent read Paul Frodshams book yet, but it sounds very interesting. I will have to invest in a copy. Does it give a grid reference for the holed stone? I have often thought about staying out overnight on simonside, but as dusk falls it does get a bit scary. I wonder if anyone has ever been there on the summer solstice to record where the sun rises in relation to some of the allignements of stones on Lordenshaws?
