I went for a wander around avebury area the other day. I headed down the ridgeway from the sanctuary to what i think was meant to be adams grave (it was not quite as i expected, so it may not have been - plenty of large stones a few yards from what looked like a half ruined roundbarrow).

Anyways, we found a huge thing covered in trees that seemed to fit the description of East Kennet Longbarrow. There were a lot of old tyres strewn around and plenty of empty shotgun cartridges. Anyone know if I am likely to have gotten access to the old barrow, or if this was just a the remnants of a few hundred years of field clearance - we did find ourselves accidentally on private property shortly afterwards?

I'd be interested to find out if i was in the right place or not.
