So does Heritage Action and yourself Paul think the UK Liscencing of
Detectorist's will stop the UK and Worldwide demand for "Antiquities"

I don't think so!

Detecting is only one of several mediums within the whole supply and demand chain, so is Heritage Action going to take on others such as the big private collections, the Dealers and the big institutions (i.e the London Auction Houses) as well?

Once again i think not!

If Heritage Action are so hellbent on stopping the Trade in Antiquities, they should target some of the fire they aim at the hobby and aim it at the demand
structure.

In answer to Nigels Question about Liscencing!

For me personally it would not be a problem, as long as i could carry on doing what i now do.But i would like to see any Liscencing cover right across the board for Detectorist's and Archaeologist's individual or otherwise.
