I was photographing this stone - before you were born - http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/276 . I hitchhiked to get to this rock - http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/3303 - and back again. I was probably reading 'A View Over Atlantis' as I sat on the roadside, waiting for the lift. I remember the stone circle in Hexham - I don't think anybody else does. Saying 'it's probably a figment of your imagination' doesn't take it away; the river did that (and only the heaviest stone is left).
