Glad you got there..and didn't get cut off by the tide (or get stuck in the top cave!). Had a great walk up onto Stowe's Hill Thursday night for the full moon and eclipse....hope you saw it. Good to meet up last week with yourself and Mrs G..you went back at the right time..misty and damp down here again now.

Ah, that'll be the Goffick effect - life always seems duller when he's not around :-)

Hahaa! Youse guys... >Blushes<

Well, we got to Holywell Bay at around 10:30am in preparation for the 11:27am (VERY) low tide (did our research, y'see!) and waited for the tide to disappear around the rocks where we suspected the cave to be... Got impatient and waded out - was only thigh-deep by then and was lovely and warm! Got to the farthest cave, which we were led to believe contained the bloomin' well. We weren't alone, as some other people also came out to look for it in the same cave! It wasn't the cave we were after at all. Several caves along, in the very one we looked in - and actually photographed - on our previous visit, was the well... And yes - we climbed in and enjoyed the solitude for a while... So very peaceful, calming and atmospheric. And absolutely stunningly attractive!

Was excellent to meet you, too! Apart from stitching meself up coming out of Rillaton Bat-barrow, of course... ;o) Was a really interesting walk. Would love to do it (or similar) again some time. Me and Mrs G loved the Craddock Moor circle... You sure know your stuff, Mr H!

So. Waddya reckon about these 20 stone circles as yet undiscovered around The Hurlers? Arf!

G x
