What are they like for walking?.. < The easiest access to the Swastika stone is probabley via Hebers Ghyll. It's a well maintained footpath, though pretty steep, by waterfalls and woods. Once you're at the top of that it's more level. The man and woman stone are best found by Paulus showing you where they are, I think! Without his help, you might be wandering the moors for hours! The Tree of Life stone... hmmm. You can approach from the lane east of Snowden Carr. Park near the track that leads to Carr Farm and head west. Look for a dead tree by a drystone wall, it's near that. You'll be trespassing if you go this way, but I've never been challenged. There's some nice rock art on the outcrop that you pass by at the top of the slope too.
