Where do you get this figure from?

If this were the case, dont you think it odd that PAS do not cite such figures to show the extent of their outreach and its success in encouraging detectorists to report their finds? These are precisely the types of figures they fill their annual reports with and on which the Hawkshead Report focusses.

In fact as you know PAS actually cite the number they are "in contact with" which is about 4000 - so the number you are looking for by those figures would be less than 1300. But as I say, maybe we should wait for the figutrd contained in the new Annual Report due out soon.
