A large tract of land

From the Ridgeway at Hackpen Hill the road to Marlborough is, what, 6-7 miles? From memory there's only one road on the right (if you're heading towards Marlborough) that I think runs roughly south (and I guess roughly parallel with the Ridgeway). The road's signposted but I've never been down there.

Questions - is there a pub down there? Is there a church down there? Is the road a dead end? I'm trying to get my head round the amount of land in the Hackpen-Marlborough-Avebury triangle and there seems to be a lot of it but... is there anything in there worth visiting?
