We've had someone contact us to say this Iron Age Promontory Fort, described as the second most important in Europe, was bulldozed entirely away late last year.
Anyone know anything?
Apparently there was a bit of a fuss in the local paper at the time, and the Garda investigated but "there seemed to be some query about ownership" and it's all gone quiet.
This person said "I visited the site a couple of weeks ago and it's definitely gone. The signs have all been covered up and the site is fenced off." ....
