George's talk was great. I could have listned for another hour at least. However, he seems to have incurred the mild wrath of the Quakers, whose Meeting House was the venue for the talk. It appears that it was scheduled as part of their Archaelogical society season of talks. As a result of my contact with the local paper it had been billed as more of a campaign talk, aimed at opposing Tarmac. The Quakers were at pains to distance themselves from any form of protest.
