not to get into the argument as to whether sacred wells are over sized puddles but Goffik if you look under Holy Wells of Somerset, Storguersy, has a well very near to a barrow, and the authors(Horne or Tongue) mention another barrow that has a spring by the side. It seems our St.Alpage well on Landown was probably a pilgrims holy well on the way to Glastonbury...
