I was thinking of you going out there but 'wired for sound' - with a crystal lapel mike (or better) connected to a concealed DAT recorder. If you could interview the farmer owner of the barrow and record that - write it to a WAV on a CD - hide it in the bush - and I'll edit it and host it as an mp3.
I'm just guessing it's a passage tomb of some kind. The profile fits perfectly from 300m. away. Nobody's spoken to the farmer yet - or been closer than 300m. It's just outside the village of Slaggyford and is part of a funereal (?) landscape. The barrow's 400m. from the find site of the Blackstone and between ten and twenty metres high. Just one contour line on the map. Kirkhaugh and Knaresdale Parish, Tynedale District.
I'll post a picture under 'Kirkhaugh ...
