Thanks for that but Tre in Cornish is so common a prefix for place names that I think we have to go for the home or farmstead option.

It's interesting that beside the entry for the stone it has (3) whilst beside Crowsa it has (2), near the Hurlers it has (2) and the Pipers at Boliegh (2). Were there at one time three stones at Tremenhere?

Anybody out there know?
