Hello all,
I visited Avebury shortly after the Easter weekend, and had my gast flabbered by the sight of a large wooden cross standing self righteously on top of a hill next to Cherhill Down. As a representation of humanity standing "with arms stretched out, accepting the creation" it looked great. As a symbol of imposing patriarchal dogma it made me want to undermine it with my trusty Swiss army knife.
Has anyone else seen it, or was I hallucinating? Is it still there?
Peace and blue skies y'all.
