There's no real reason for the Avebury paperwork to take all that long - it would effectively be whatever Mike Pitts has had to do for his single stone project, presumably. But that assumes there's a will, of course.
I wonder if he might be persuaded to recant on his "leave 'em down to give an air of mystery" viewpoint, which seems like a bit of a throwaway line. He'd certainly be the person best placed to push the issue.
What with the new chief executive and the cull of staff and the recent critical report, NT is in a state of flux so now might be a good time to push them.
