there is a small strange henge marked on the map, just under Penhill (radio transmitter hill - 305 metres), it sits on the l/h side of the Priddy road to Hunters lodge inn, about three and half kilometers from Priddy Henges, probably completely different, but Penhill has a longbarrow on its flanks plus a scatter of tumuli underneath. The Priddy circles sit at about 265 metres above sea level, whereas the b/a barrows in the area sit at 307m (nine barrows-North Hill)) and next cluster nearest circles (295m), read an article yesterday that said b/a barrows would often be found near water or springs.... probably caves and swallets in this instance. Mendips are the Plains of the Dead. The circles are angled to the north, and coincidentally nine barrows cemetery is on North hill a kilometre away.
