I`m with FW on this.
The only way to demonstrate how to move a 40 ton stone is to actually move a 40 ton stone.
I can see problems with doing that. There`s a big difference between rowing a stone around a car park and rowing one across the countryside.
The ground isn`t flat and it gives way when large forces are applied to it. Laying logs along the side of the stone to act as fulcrum points wont work so easily on undulating ground. You must work out a way to get the fulcrum points in relative alignment with each other and *do it*.
Compared with raising a trilithon, this is the easy bit. It`s also *the major revelation*. The far more difficult task of erecting the stones utilises your lever principle to move the stones vertically and is a *secondary* major breakthrough.
