Thanks for posting that other picture, I thought the sunrise might be delayed by the hills but was expecting it further north over Blencathra. Am I right in thinking that Souther Fell is the little bit to the right of Blencathra and to the left of Great Mell Fell on the plan? (so the sun first appeared just to the left of where I’ve marked Penrith ?). If so then I’ll update the plan, then add the Winter Solstice in due course and tidy the thing up a bit.
200 people sounds about a nice maximum for a circle that size, I must admit the 30000 at Stonehenge would be a bit too much for me these days!
(you didn’t stay for the sunset by any chance?)
