Thanks for that.

I agree about the timber and marshlands. I assume that the Italian Chappies had better technology for transporting heavy goods such as stone.

Although you would have thought that areas such as Hampstead & Highgate would have been prime sites for megalithic structures. This, of course, doesn't take into account any of the spiritual or scientific reasons for erecting circles etc...
