Gillings, Pollard & Wheatley will be back for a final dig in August to determin IF the avenue went further than the cove.
There are a few scattered stones further on but they could have been natural as Stukeley mentioned 'Chapel Field which is full of stones of great bigness buried beneath the surface'.
The reason there are so few stones of the beckhampton ave is that there are houses along bray street built from them but no houses along the kennet ave.
