For most of the year this is the most scenic little factory in the Western Isles. They produce Hebridean Toffee (non-sassenachs call it tablet), which they export to Balmoral, The Scottish Parliament etc' etc'.... however if the weather is fine they have a small extension patio area built out into the bay where some wonderful homemade food including open sandwiches, panninis and beverages will be served.
Well worth a visit, Karen, the joint powner with her husband Gerry, is a perfect hostess. This is the closest that I found to a tourist friendly venue/shop/facility on the island. |
