This un-named stone is on Murk Mire Moor (Old Norse myrkr [dark] and myrr [marsh]). It is of similar shape and character to Blue Man i’ the Moss and Margery Bradley.

A compass reading from centre of barrow to outlier (against the trees) gives 58 degrees. Midwinter full moon rise @ lowest declination for this latitude in 2000 b.c. would be 56. Whether skyline can account for 2 degrees, I don’t know. Perhaps someone with equipment to measure altitude of horizon would like to take a look.
