It doesn’t actually look much like this, but as it’s based closely on Stan the Man’s courageously executed rubbings, it’s a bit closer to reality than the 1883 version.
Accurate depictions of RA have come a long way since 1883...
No photoshopery or long exposures here, the sky of Tyneside really is orangey coloured sometimes.
the larger basin. I reckon this is 100% natural, those marks are not the result of chiselling, just freaky erosion on freaky stone.
