There are several of these circular structures on the northern edge of the fort. I presume they are from the ww2 use of the fort by the home guard mentioned in the SMR.

Here you can see the other stones which where presumably felled when the dolment was opened.
The rock in its habitat. 100 metres up the hill and the views are this good in 300+ degrees.
Sunlight coming into the barrow 5 days before the winter solstice 2006. The barrow positively glowed a honey colour which sadly doesn’t quite come across.

This stone sits by the side of the A420 in Wick village. I’d bet someone else’s house that it came from this barrow...
Mmmm cock. This is a chalk phallus found at the bottom of one of the mighty shafts at the rings. It’s currently in Dorset County Museum.
Whats left of the barrow inc concrete cist cover reproduction.

Yet more swasticas at the Nine Stones. The abuse of this ancient site seen on 28/05/06. Methinks its getting to the point where the police should be involved.
It looks better when you are there trust me! The barrow is about 1.5 metres high and clearly defined within a fenced off area.
Finds from Solsbury Hill currently lurking in a glass case at Bristol Museum close to the Pool farm cist stone.
