Denbury hillfort barrow N/E
Denbury barrow s/w there is a small upright stone about 2.5 ft on top of the barrow.
The 7 remaining uprights of the cairn circle which terminates the stone row.
Facing south with Western Beacon in the background.
Note squiggle in background is to highlight the long barrow. This is actually a tripple row but most of the stones are hidden under grass & peat at the northern end of the row are the remains of a small cairn circle.
Taken from on top of the Barrow looking down on to the now collapsed entrance.
This is believed to be the oldest man made structure on Dartmoor, and is visible from all the surrounding cairns & stone rows. Far more impressive than photo’s show.
Over the hedge again 90 degrees from first pic
About 12 metres in diameter and about 3 meters high ,this pic was taken over the hedge stood on the roof of my car.
Not more stones dad, no not today son.
