Toward beautiful Loch Caladail... its own kerbed cairn may just be discerned beyond the right hand shore.

The view that convinced me of the site’s ancient pedigree... looking from the unexpectedly fine Loch Caladail kerbed cairn, the positioning of the monument upon the skyline (upper left) is absolutely spot on. There can be no doubt in my mind.

This wasn’t shown on my old map... but it was pretty obviously an artificially placed arrangement of stones.... according to the OS ..Within the cairn, and outside it on the N, are about twelve boulders... which probably constitute
part of a displaced kerb....” (R L) 21 July 1971
