Megalithic monuments
The local population honored the tombs of their ancestors and left them untouched. At the beginning of the last century, many stones were needed for the construction of country roads. Numerous graves have been destroyed during this time. This tomb was saved from destruction thanks to the initiative of the then pastor of Emsbüren.
The citizens of the community Mehringen embellished the sites and the graves and therefore ask to preserve the cultural site !!
