From the ring and cup marked rock we followed the fence east until it made a T junction with another fence. The track behind probably comes up from the cottages where the car is parked. Obviously we took the scenic route :-)

No changes here, it is still overgrown and with the height of the vegetation hard to spot so keep an eye out for the tree standing by itself.

I approached this site from the A928.You can park in the are by the track gate.Walk down through the woods 'till you come to a fork and take the left. Carry on for about 400mtrs and keep an eye to the right. The Stones are on some unused land wich is rather overgrown. There had been some gorse clearance and the farmer had helpfully piled the gorse on top of the smaller stone. As Nick said, these are not very impressive but the large one is LARGE. hamish Posted by hamish

Take the A929 north from Dundee towards Tealing. Turn off before Tealing at Tinkletap, and park in the yard (ask permission). Take the track north to the old shed, then west towards another track running SW/NE. 50 metres NE up this track the stones lie up on the left. This pair of stones is not very impressive, with no cup marks or rings visible, but the view from their location is fine. nickbrand Posted by nickbrand
