
Toward the cairn from the Allt Choinneachain stream, which rises in boggy ground a little below and to the west of the monument – in other words Cairn Coinneachan is located upon the high ground between (as far as I’m aware)the sources of two water courses (the other that of Barvick Burn to the approx north-east). Incidentally the blackened heather seemed a little ironic in the prevailing conditions........

I haven't been commenting much recently Gladman though still looking at all the amazing photos various people have taken. I must say something about this photo though - very beautiful. I can almost hear the water.
