They seem to have cleared old trees and then planted new trees on top of the barrow, which doesn't seem quite right..... love the bluebells in Holmbury Camp.
I wandered down the only track without "Private etc...." signs on thinking it might have been left for people like us. Sadly, I think not, so grabbed a few pictures of one of the finest bell barrows I've ever seen before leaving. I would have thought planting trees upon a scheduled ancient monument is illegal? Then again I'm not a legal expert. Thank goodness.
