I suppose with each visitor being subsidised to the tune of £13 it is still cheaper to the UK taxpayer per head than bombing women and children in Iraq. I know Blackwater changed their name but we still pay them a hell of a lot for their "security services". I'm not sure of the cost of killing Libyans at the moment, but at only £13 quids on each Archaeolink ticket, the history park is still probably cheaper. And remember that £13 is just from the cooncil tax payers in Aberdeenshire - it's not a national subsidy. The cost of Pictavia will be offset by not supporting a no-fly zone over Gaza and continuing to allow Israel to kill who it pleases. So it goes.
Elections are coming - do feel free to let the politicians know where our priorities lie regarding our local services versus killing people in the Middle East.
I know the staff (one of them has piano lessons) so I also hope it goes well for them. Remember when you were in Insch ( town before Wantonwells RSC), Oyne and archaeolink are on the road heading east towards the A96, Inverurie and beyond.)
Agreed HB. But I'm not going to vote for any of the Unionist parties. Archaeolink is used mostly by schooltrips as an educational aid an important thing as history, up here, didn't start with William Wallace or Robert de Bruce, or for cleverer people The Romans. But it could widen it's appeal and use the hall facilities much like Burnend near Banchory, cracking wee venue which hosts various styles of concert, I know performers love it's atmosphere. Oyne is very similar.
Let's hope there's a happy ending for this one Drew (and for the staff especially).

Insch - the world's smallest town. Thanks for that one.
I wished I could say that was the first time I had heard/read that! :-)
I think it was ready for a wider audience.
How big are people down your way?
Ha ha ha!
