Landscape context of the cairns from the summit of Tyrrau Mawr.... it’s only from here that it becomes clear the chosen site was actually inspired... and not a cop-out since they wouldn’t fit on the summit?

Didn't take you long to put this on and then tick it off the list, did it? Any thoughts on lack of monuments on the central peaks of the Cadair? Incidentally I confirmed a similar lack on Trum-y-Ddysgl, Nantlle Ridge last week with two massive monuments upon the outlying Y Garn.
Well, the decision to go to Cadair was made before I looked at the site, but your pics made it a must-visit. I wouldn't be surprised if there were monuments on the central peaks. The main summit has had buildings on it before the current shelter and built-up trig, who knows that might have been there once. The NE ridge is certainly crying out for cairns though.
