One of the problems I find with visiting ancient sites in extraordinary landscape settings is trying to convey what I see – and perhaps more importantly, ‘feel’ – without descending into pastiche.... or even kitsch! Take a scene such as this, looking westwards along Dyffryn Mymbyr at sunset. Sometimes it’s better just to click the shutter and hope for the best........
