The Book of Arran by J A Balfour (1910). Contains lots of diagrams and photos of sites and finds from the island – chambers, stones, cup and rings, urns, allsorts. The back page is a rather interesting map with all the locations marked.

This link is a nice find. I'd had wee look at first editions of Volumes One and Two of Balfour's Book of Arran in the chandler's shop in Lamlash when I was over on Arran in October. £600 the pair. I resisted temptation.
I instead cherish my "Arran Of The Glens & The Brave" by MacKenzie McBride with its beautiful colour plates by J L Windgate RSA.
Thanks Rhiannon & HD!

Mine is, of course, the September 1910 first edition with the boxed in, gold-embossed, profile engraving of the island on the cover above the title. Lovely. New Street car boot, Edinburgh, 1994. Ten pence. Hurrah!
