Nice shot! You were lucky to get such a clear shot on a bank holiday weekend! :)
Although I do confess, out of all the many dozens of wells I've seen up and down the country, I find this to be THE most overrated. It's nice enough, but way OTT! IMHO. ;)
I'm with you totally, Ive been to Glastonbury sooo many times and never even seen what it was that was being so overhyped, so we went in the morning to evade the crowd that would have depreciated the site so very much, it was as you say nice enough we even comuned with a Robin for a short while.
I had a similar experience with a Robin at Chalice Well, in the thorn tree by the lion headed spout. I was chatting to a lady who was filling her water bottles there, and this Robin perched in the thorn tree and quietly warbled at us for several minutes, a very unrobinlike gentle sound, all within arms reach. I know the local birds are fed regularly and are quite tame, but this did seem to be a bit unusual to say the least.
