With the Eifionydd as a backdrop. Moel Hebog (with its cairn cemetry) is prominent. The Nantlle Ridge is to its right. Marvellous.

It has a wow factor, would love to visit it... There are two so called 'chevaux de frise' in the Preseli area (according to my book) Carn Alw, which is a hillfort and has'nt got any photos on this site, and Castell Henllys. Need a few more spiky stones around some of those hill top cairns to stop 'walker cairns'!
Pity that it was given a bit of a pasting by troops training during WWII... would have been even more spectacular, I guess... well worth the bit of a trek to get there.
To be honest the only other 'chevaux de frise' I've come across are a defensive arrangement on the approach to Pen-y-Gaer hillfort in the Carneddau (not far from Penmaenmawr). Very canny.
