Just spotted this, how very beautiful. What is it about dolmens/portal tombs/cairns with the sea or loch as a backdrop that pulls at the heartstrings so (a bit like Drew's mist covered mountains).

Thanks both. Glen Lonan is well worth visiting for the scenery alone, it must be said... but add this chamber, the nearby Serpent Mound, two crannogs and the Strontoiller complex and, well..... only took me eight trips to get the hint.
