You can make the stone look much bigger than it is with a good camera angle! The mound in the background looks pretty suspicious to me...

Nice shot, faerygirl! Peculiar stone, isn't it...? I wonder if it was once laid horizontally, on top of a pile of rocks, where water had formed in lots of 'cups', making rock basins? That could explain the smoothness of those circular shapes in its sides.
