Llanvair-Discoed

Stopped off briefly on the way down from Gray Hill. The stone stands in the muddy bottom of a field. It’s visible from the road, which is just as well as the field was full of cows and looked soggy and uninviting, so I didn’t linger.

More interesting is the village church (which even sold a postcard of Gray Hill circle, good to see a tolerant attitude to pagan worship!) and a decent pub.

From here it’s off to Llanmelin Wood hillfort.
