Lacra Stone Avenue

Hi Fitz, judging by Baza's and Postie's pics, I think this is Lacra C (I never saw it myself!).

Starts off obvious up there[a-b] and then it gets more and more confusing don't you think, i've not been for years and it still makes my head spin now, it was like a dream that starts off normal and then gets stranger and stranger.

It was really enjoyable trying to work out what was what. B is a great circle, A and D are more interesting than stunning. I didn't see C (if you see what I mean) and E is really speculative. Great setting as well.

I see you didn't see c, i saw c and don't think you missed much not seeing c, if you see what i mean, It all feels a very different age to sunkenkirk there though- as in lacra could be bronze age and say maybe 2000 bce and sunkenkirk neolithic and 3500 bce- meaning 1500 years could separate the places in time, that was the main thing that struck me there- the long continuation of the circle in these islands [ not as long as that fucking cross though ], on a similar note you'd think the lake district would have a lot more chambered cairns wouldn't you? [ i wasn't 100% sure of Great Urswick either ] Maybe the circle was all important there.

Lacra is a damn mess, a cool, enjoyable, interesting mess, there should be an interactive Aubrey Burl hologram on site that can show the way round.

There's not many chambered cairns round the Lakes because they hardly ever die up there, they just keep on living, some are still round now, driving tractors in front of red Ford Mondeo's.

Ha Ha, Maybe we should build some ch -c's to put the fuckers in then, love the way your thinking, and the hologram is a great idea as i think i spent more time with my head in his book than actually looking when i was there [ it feels a lifetime away ], you clearly know as a child that star trek was real as i did the first star wars film, ohhhh now where has all the tractor driving farmers gone as we've got something to show you on YOUR land, the fuckers will follow us then, we could bring back ch-c's and sacrifice in one go, i must stop now as i'm getting excited.

Yep, we were head-in-Aubrey too. Hologram's the answer. If either of us had a phone that was manufactured after the stone age we could even have a Aubrey Lacra Map App.
