To add a further ironic note; Noel Dempsey - Minister for Transport is to hold a public consultation in the New Year about traffic in Dublin, to quote
"Transport Minister Noel Dempsey is said to be determined to warn the
public of the 2016 scenario and get people to leave their cars at
home and switch to public transport."
