TE, this sums up how the Lake District was on some of the days I was there. Your photos tell what is so difficult to put into words.

It's a view looking towards where you visited: Styhead and Sprinkling Tarns in the great white centre distance, with Great Gable in the cloud in the distant right background.

You're right, you do have to be there to appreciate the light and the weather, which changes constantly.
