These pictures were taken just when it began to rain: it took a fair bit of hopping from hummock to hummock to find these rocks.
Take the track opposite the bend in the B6348, and there's a gate/stile with a public footpath going through the gorse on the right-hand side. The rocks are spread across a fairly wide area ahead and to the right – worth spending a while here to find the best ones.

Well, I found myself here again 20 years later! The path I mentioned before is now impassable from the B-road end – the rocks can still be reached by taking the public footpath further along the track, but are tricky to get to, and seem more hidden now. It's private land, off the public moor nearby, so proceed at your own risk.

Nothing better than proceeding at your own risk - nice one. Hope you do a lot of proceedings and let us know how you get on :-)
Yeah, always good to return to somewhere after 20 years.
I love going back to sites I have visited before, nearly always have a different agenda than the first visit. This looks like a very interesting site in an area rich in rock art 'Proceed at your own risk' Just thinking how many times we have to make that decision. Had a few run ins as a result, however, 'Proceed' always seems to still win the day
