Enjoyed that, looks a great route up. I think Fforest Fawr is my favourite of the four ranges; Y Mynydd Du is more dramatic but Fforest Fawr is so empty and quiet, I rarely see anyone else on those hills. The cairn on Gyhirych must be one of the best viewpoints too, poised right above the escarpment.
This was the first route I did wayyyy back in 1995 - albeit that was a bit more as the crow flies. Back then it was actually a 'private estate' so had to write for permission. Will post a part 2 in a few days... I really love the northern face
