This is the first RSC I visited, around 2020. It’s a beautiful site now – impressive after what it’s been through, yet also understandable because it’s such a fantastic location. The stones are on the small side, but the framing of being set amongst the hills is overwhelmingly impressive.
It is def one of my fave sites and I was happy to go there recently with two friends who also loved it. They couldn’t get over how much the recumbent looks like a whale and also pondered hard over how the stone got there. Hopefully they are now also stoneheads!
