Certainly looks the part. We found a standing stone up on moorland near us a few weeks back, kerbed and near another and with the right 'feel'. Not on Coflein or OS. Tried to find any kind of criteria by which these things are investigated and drew a blank....how does a possibly undocumented antiquity get reported?
Well, the other features of Foel Goch's summit are documented, so it's not as if the archaeologists haven't visited.... guess it's just not that obvious up close unless you mooch around and view from many different angles. As I recall, I'd just joined TMA when I visited back in 2009... and there was a prevailing 'So what? Every mountain has a cairn so they are not real monuments' view from some of the old hands on here, which has needed breaking down over the years. The context here is absolutely right and this particular view from TSC does add credence that there is indeed something here IMO.
