It's a great stone, isn't it? Seems to dominate the entire area around it. And just down the footpath, through the farm and across the stream, there is the surely related and hugely under-appreciated Dyffryn cairn/circle/mystery...
Give us a shout before you come and we'll show you the sights. The area around the base of Rosebush is pretty convincing as an ancient ritual nexus, on the hinterland of the wild hills as they first rear up from the valleys further south. The Eithbedd complex alone would have been almost a mini Avebury, with a whole array of inter-related monuments and circles all clustered together. Completely trashed by farmers in the early 1900s. But we still have the Budloy pathway with the circle and the stone, some great stones around Maenclochog (it's actually surrounded by them!), a ring cairn....and we're pretty sure still undiscovered stuff amongst the rocky relics of St Bernard's Well Mountain.
Cool, sounds great! That area is a bit off the main bus routes, so I haven't really explored it much. Last time we were there I did a Preseli traverse and was nearly dead by the time I got to Newport.

This looks fab. Dyffryn is at the top of my Benfro list if and when we get back that way, must add this stone as well.

Been there done that, in black sheets of rain it's even more fun 😉
