Looking north along the western rampart. Moelfre would be the hill on the far right, but only its base is visible below the hillfog.

Haha - that's timely. Took an aerial shot from Mynydd Egryn a week or so back. Will see if it's worth posting.
Oh, well done! Glad you got to Egryn - we couldn't even see it on this trip.
Odd things going on in the Rhinogs... you'll recall I reckoned Ffridd Fron was aligned upon Rhinog Fawr? Well, it seemed to me that Cerrig Arthur's "portals' are aligned upon Twll yr Ogof. The more I see the more interconnected I think all this is...
That's certainly possible. I went back to Cerrig Arthur in April this year, in evening sunshine rather than overcast clag, it's very different when you have the backdrop. I like how Diffwys looks from there too.
I really like this whole area (Ardudwy and over the Mawddach), it's possibly my favourite bit of Wales, especially from the trips we've done over the last two or three years.
Yeah, well to the naked eye it appears smack on - although some muppets who used to post here would no doubt say Google Earth proves it's one degree out, or something. You know what I'd say to that...
Yep, no substitute for seeing for yourself.
