This is a magnificent round barrow, one of the best in Cornwall. For thousands of years it stood atop the highest hill for many miles around (the highest point in Cornwall outside Bodmin Moor) but now it’s dwarfed by the spoil heaps of the china clay quarries and its 360 degree views have been cut off.

Nice cairn. Those spoil heaps are something else. I couldn't believe the size of them. Access OK? I've read a few folk have had problems. I remember people weren't happy with the top moving from the barrow to the spoil heap.
Great cairn. The spoil heaps are settling down into something more natural looking, the "new" top is all wildflowers now. No problem at all with access.
