Fourknocks

Passage Grave

Fourknocks (Passage Grave) by ryaner The passage lintel, now placed on the wall to the right as you enter. It's a fascinating piece with its almost sheer, flattened plane.

This is just splendid. They picked a good flat surface. I love the contrast of the pecks and the equally-sized gaps of smooth zigzags, it's very effective. You are very lucky! Rhiannon Posted by Rhiannon

Lucky thanks to the White family (Eircode A42 FN40 if anyone happens by here), custodians of the key (deposit of €20) – otherwise it's even more frustrating than at your visit to Barclodiad-y-Gawres, because of the reinforced metal door. I guess the theory is is that if you're interested, you'll make the effort – the house is almost a kilometre away. Seems it's the way of the world now, though Fourknocks has had this restriction since a long time. ryaner Posted by ryaner
